We operate over 13,000km of high voltage transmission wires and 110 substations in NSW and the ACT.
As Australia transitions to renewable energy, we are ensuring the transmission system can deliver clean and reliable energy to support the transformation. You will have an opportunity to make a real difference and leave a legacy.
About the opportunity This is an exciting, permanent role with us at Transgrid working within our Major Projects division. You'll be supporting Project EnergyConnect (PEC), which is Australia's largest energy transmission project. It involves building a new 900km transmission line to connect the energy grids in New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia.
As a Project Engineer - Electrical, you'll undertake detailed engineering management and support to various Project Managers, Site Managers, and Construction Managers in project delivery. You will be a part of a project team managing technical, procurement, material, construction, design coordination, and start-up and close-out items.
About you Ability to travel and stay at the project site for approximately 4-5 days, every 3-4 weeks (project map and locations for Project EnergyConnect can be found on our website) Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or substantial industry experience in the delivery of large scale projects High level of technical knowledge in the construction of substation or transmission line assets Experience in the management of construction contracts A current Driver's Licence.
