Mission statement:
Field Service Technician work focuses on installing, configuring, calibrating, and repairing technical products and systems at customer field locations.
This includes performing a variety of maintenance and technical support on installed products and equipment, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving malfunctions, and determining when products should be upgraded or replaced.
The role may provide onsite training for customer support personnel.
An Experienced Para-Professional (S25) requires knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and may require vocational or technical education.
Responsibilities may include routine problem-solving that may require some analysis to understand.
The position works under moderate to limited supervision for routine situations and communicates information that requires explanation or interpretation.
Your responsibilities: Field Service work will focus on executing service jobs with high quality, reliability, and timely completion while adhering to safety requirements.You will live by company core values of safety, quality, and integrity, taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.You will carry out service installation, commissioning, testing, and other service-related activities on transformers of various sizes (from distribution to large power transformers), diagnosing technical problems, determining, and implementing corrective actions.You will execute service activities on time, within budget, and with expected quality, maintaining a high focus on safety, managing service activities before attending the site and onsite, including coordination with customers and other stakeholders.You will maintain and strengthen working relationships with customers and interact with and support the sales team on potential business opportunities.You will prepare all required safety, financial, operational, and technical documents and reports associated with service activities.You will proactively identify and participate in performance improvements within the business to enhance operations and customer service, undertake product training to develop skill sets, further enhance product knowledge, and grow as a product specialist.Living the Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background: You hold an A-Grade Electrical License (a must).5+ years of experience in transformer testing and services.Good command of electrical testing of transformers is essential.Customer-focused, with the ability to communicate effectively, work within a team, follow instructions, and work independently as a Person in Charge of Work.Location: Lilydale, Victoria, Australia; Smithfield, NSW, Australia
