The Opportunity
Reporting to the State Manager – Post Collections and based at Artarmon, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of all Transfer stations, including waste collection, transportation, processing, and disposal.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of professionals, drive operational performance, and contribute to our mission of promoting responsible waste management practices.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of transfer stations across the state, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Develop and implement operational plans, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Provide leadership and guidance to site managers and staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Manage operational budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to achieve cost-effective operations.
Prepare operational reports, performance metrics, and other documentation as required.
About You
Proven experience in a multi-site operations management role within waste or logistics industry is desirable.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams to achieve performance goals.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational optimization.
Solid understanding of safety standards, and best practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
