Designated Mental Health First Aiders appointed across the organisation, expanding our mental health and wellbeing offering even further.We are seeking a permanent part time (0.5 EFT) Transfer Station Attendant whose role primarily supports the operation of the Recycling Centre with the occasional support for other waste services as required including the street litter service and RDO and leave coverage.
In order to align with the operating hours of the Recycling Centre, the working week is Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
This role will be a fortnightly rotating roster.What you'll bring to the role:Experience and knowledge of best practice in operations of transfer stations/recycling centres.Willingness to learn and be trained.Experience in safely operating a backhoe/front end loader, forklift and waste collection vehicle.Demonstrated experience in a broader range of waste management operations.Demonstrated ability of point of sale processes from end to end.Valid Australian Car Licence (required).Valid Backhoe Licence and/or Front End Loader (desirable).Valid High Risk Forklift Licence (desirable).Valid Medium Rigid Drivers Licence (desirable).Traffic Control stop slow bat (desirable).What's on offer?Benefits include on the job skill and leadership development, discounted gym memberships and free parking at all Council offices.Want to know more?Download the PD and contact Sarah Alexander, Waste Management Team, during business hours on if you have any questions.
