Our NSW Government client is hiring for a highly capable Transaction Officer.
Working closely with colleagues in an overarching Procurement Program Team, this role supports the delivery of Goods & Services and Infrastructure initiatives by ensuring smooth payments and transactions to a wide array of NSW Government suppliers.
You will adhere to NSW Government core values and policies, as well as organisational policy, procedures and statutory requirements processes.
Role Title: Transaction Officer Contract Length: ASAP start, for a 6 Months role with a chance of extension Daily Pay: $400 + Super per day.
Location: Parramatta, (2150).
Office (1-2 days per week in office)/WFH hybrid.
Key Accountabilities: Review, check and Process Contract and Panel Agreement payments.
Prepare and issue payment certificates by strictly adhering to Security of Payment Act (SOPA) requirements and complete the receipting of goods and services.
Assist in the preparation of purchase order requests and amendments, variation letters, Security Deposits and coordinate periodic Contractor Performance Reports and other transactional requires as directed.
Record, capture and update data in various contract and payment related registers and systems; Assist with end of month accruals and reporting requirements; Utilise Procurement Systems and SAP to support contract administration duties and compliance with requirements; Maintain expertise in financial and contract management systems and provide system administration and support to ensure efficient and effective implementation use of the processing systems.
Provide a central liaison point by managing and responding to a range of internal and external stakeholder enquiries, including identifying the appropriate person to redirect queries to where required for a proper response as per relevant Policies, Procedures, and Legislative requirements.
Knowledge and Experience: An ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Certificates or Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Administration, Finance, Accounting or a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated extensive relevant experience in a similar role.
Prior NSW Government experience is highly desirable for this role.
Candidates must be based in or around the Greater Sydney Area or willing to travel to regional offices (if you are regionally based you must attend the Parramatta office once a month).
Additionally, you must possess existing full working rights within Australia.
