The Role: Reporting to the Training Supervisor Operational Support, this position provides vital support to our site-based trainer group, and plays an active role in the development and execution of strategic training initiatives.
The role has oversight of training and assessment activities within our dynamic teams and provides opportunity to get involved with some of the industry-leading business initiatives.
This is a full-time Perth based role working from the Osborne Park facility and the successful applicant will work a 5:2 roster with the requirement for site travel as business demands require.
Key responsibilities: Review, develop and support the implementation of the MinRes Training Framework and Management System.Provide strong leadership to the Compliance Trainer and Authorised assessor groups – including planning and scheduling, development of team, and performance management.Provide technical advice and support to site regarding VET and Competency.Proactively provide support and resource capabilities to sites to assist them in meeting training requirements.Develop electronic assessments, training related reports and notifications to meet business needs.Develop internal training packages and assessment documentation in conjunction with SME's.Assist in scheduling and reporting of training related auditing processes.Provide support to Authorised Assessors and Site Compliance Trainers.Liaise with Registered Training Organisations in regard to Compliance Trainer approvals.Promote key training and compliance initiatives to key stakeholders.Review Training & Compliance documentation to ensure all required outcomes are met.Necessary skills and qualifications: Cert IV Training and Assessment Minimum TAE40116 (current) – Required.A strong work history in mining, haulage or resource construction.Supervisory experience in a resource Training environment.Proficient in and have good computer literacy.Experience in utilising Training Management Systems and Learning Management Systems.Experience developing training packages.Experience in leading a successful team.Valid C Class drivers license.And then there's the extra benefits We look after our people because they're the ones looking after our business.
