New opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join an established 80 bed aged care facility in the coastal town of Esperance, Western Australia.
About the role:
The Training Officer is responsible for the co-ordination of the training needs of the Esperance Aged Care Facility.
You will be responsible for the sourcing and implementation of training and development for the staff of the facility including Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care workers.
In addition, you will also work on the development of an annual training matrix and co-ordinate the Altura training program for all staff members completing appropriate documentation with regards to training requirements.
You will use budget, equipment and supplies economically and appropriately in the delivery of training and source external training programs for the development of staff ensuring compliance of staff with regards to manual handling procedures.
Experience & qualifications:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the AHPRA.
Well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Commitment to personal self-development.
Commitment to continuous improvement principles.
Certificate IV Training & Assessment, or working towards one.
Strong understanding of Occupational Safety and Health and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) principles and practices (desirable).
Knowledge of Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI).
