The purpose of this role is to develop and deliver high quality, learner centric blended learning training materials for the Program to support the successful implementation of multiple products.
As the Training Officer, you will work within a team of training professionals with the goal that all training plans and artefacts and the delivery of training aligns with the Program principles and objectives and standards.
The Training Officer will also work closely with Department Practice and Business training units to ensure that the training is fit for purpose and meets defined learning outcomes for the specified training cohorts.
Key responsibilities Conceptualise, design and develop high quality blended learning artefacts to support digital (ICT) adoption Design high quality learner-centric digital learning experiences and resources (courseware and simulations using Articulate Storyline 360 or Adobe Captivate or similar authoring tool) Design activities for virtual instructor-led training.
Proven skills and experience in virtual delivery of software application training on a large transformation project Knowledge of digital learning principles and practices as well as current and future trends in digital technologies High level interpersonal and professional communication skills to work effectively with individuals and teams with different levels of technical knowledge Ability to assess priorities, problem solve, manage components of work and negotiate for positive outcomes Work closely with Departmental practice training units to ensure a cohesive learning outcome for all users – in both practice and technology Work closely with Departmental Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural representatives to ensure that a cultural lens is applied to the training development and delivery.
Monitor and report on training outcomes and effectiveness and offer recommendations to improve effectiveness if required.
Key Skills and Experience Demonstrated capability to develop and deliver contemporary high-quality blended learning for complex ICT programs with the aim to facilitate adoption of change within large cohorts.
Including: Developing blended learning artefacts Designing learner centric digital experiences and resources (using Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate or similar) Designing virtual instructor-led training Delivering virtual instructor-led training (through MS Teams).
Strong analytical and conceptual skills to be used to conduct detailed Training Needs Analyses to establish learner profiles, training plan and scope of the curriculum.
Ability to work independently and proactively, including the ability to plan, manage and report on allocated pieces of work and problem solve and recommend solutions for issues as they arise.
Highly developed interpersonal skills and a team player with an outcomes focus, who will support colleagues in the program to achieve milestone and deliverables.
Ability to rapidly learn and understand technical IT solutions and platforms, and the ability to appropriately develop training materials for non-technical business stakeholders (ie.
making the complex simple).
Desirable requirements Superior Excel skills Experience in working within AGILE ICT project environments Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or equivalent) Experience in social services and/or public sector ICT projects, particularly in the delivery of transformative ICT solutions Working knowledge Dynamics 365 platforms Experience in developing training materials that incorporate an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander lens.
