ABOUT THE ROLE AHA has a 12-month full-time employment opportunity for a graduate level Training Officer to join the Training Team within the Emergency Preparedness, Animal Health and Biosecurity program. Reporting to the Training Manager, the Training Officer, plays a key role supporting the national emergency animal disease (EAD) and biosecurity training activities. 
The Training Team provides education and training services to assist AHA members with their responsibilities in the event of a biosecurity emergency response. 
As a member of the AHA Training Team, you will be responsible for working with leaders and colleagues to support activities that enable the generation and implementation of meaningful, purposeful and value adding training projects. This role will liaise with a range of AHA stakeholders including government departments, livestock industries and training professionals. 
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Providing support to enable the effective execution of the training program activities. Use project management methodology to support training projects and activities being delivered within time, cost, and quality parameters. Actively support AHA's EAD response activities. Support the EAD and biosecurity training projects to deliver quality outcomes that align with budgets and timeframes and with national EAD and biosecurity training reporting commitments. Actively contribute to design solutions to meet internal and external needs. Maintain awareness and proactively manage potential risks and propose innovative and practical solutions and risk mitigation measures. Provide project coordination, administration, analysis and reporting to ensure training activities and projects are effectively managed and documented.  Work cooperatively with stakeholders, to accomplish AHA objectives to build and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships and achieve results. Total remuneration for this position is from $60,000 (including super) and will be commensurate with the successful candidate's level of experience.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Tertiary qualifications (or currently completing) in Agriculture, Science, Animal Science or related fields. Creative and independent thinker with the ability and confidence to propose solutions to complex issues. Sound interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Sound planning skills and/or experience. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively with leaders and colleagues at all levels of the organisation. Demonstrated ability to successfully work both under instruction and independently. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships and networks with members and key stakeholders. Demonstrated resilience and ability to adapt to, and promote, change. Commitment to deliver excellent customer service. Proficient in Microsoft Teams, contemporary office software applications, internet communication tools and database administration. Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. Experience in supporting the delivery of training programs. Experience supporting eLearning activities. APPLICATION
