The opportunity The Boeing MQ-28 Ghost Bat is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities.
MQ-28 is the first military aircraft to be designed, engineered and manufactured in Australia in more than 50 years.
A significant manufacturing facility will be constructed in Toowoomba to manufacture this aircraft.
Boeing Defence Australia will need to develop a workforce capable of delivering this innovative aircraft.
We are seeking a highly skilled Training Manager to lead the MQ-28 Ghost Bat - Manufacturing and Production Training Team.
In this pivotal role, you will lead the initial phase-in of the Training System and Team, responsible for upskilling a workforce with cutting-edge manufacturing and production technologies.
This exciting opportunity is based in Toowoomba at the Advanced Manufacturing and Production Facility dedicated to the MQ-28 project.
Responsibilities Your exceptional training skills enable you to excel in a challenging role, within a unique environment.
Responsibilities include: Supporting the Site Manager in leading program execution by coordinating Manufacturing and Production training compliance metrics.
Building and Leading the Manufacturing and Production Training Team, and ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to deliver effective training programs.
Developing and executing training solutions (including all training materials), implementing policies and procedures and setting operational goals to ensure the workforce is skilled and capable.
Guiding your team through training evaluations to identify training gaps, proposing and implementing solutions to satisfy requirements and improve performance.
Identifying and accurately estimating training resource requirements for projects and processes, ensuring optimal provision for training needs and adhering to budget constraints.
Managing the training budget, and identifying and securing necessary resources and equipment for training purposes.
Managing and controlling training records and compliance evidence within the approved systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
Implementing and maintaining a training schedule to ensure all production personnel receive the required training within specified timeframes.
Assessing the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations and feedback from trainees and operational personnel, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory and business requirements and industry standards.
Providing regular reports and updates to relevant stakeholders on training activities, progress and outcomes.
Criteria BDA requires all applicants to possess or be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a recommended minimum of 10 years' related work experience.
In the absence of a degree, a recommended minimum of 12 years' equivalent experience in the commercial industry is preferred.
Proven track record in managing training programs within a commercial manufacturing or production environment Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or an equivalent qualification Demonstrated Experience with instructional media and methods, including interactive computer-based instruction, web-based instruction, instructor-led lectures, demonstrations, AR-VR etc.
Comprehensive knowledge of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodology, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation Previous experience in successfully implementing a new training system, from its inception to long-term sustainment Proficiency in managing compliance requirements associated with Registered Training Organizations (RTOs) or similar regulatory organisations Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills are essential, and the ability to demonstrate experience and success in these areas Ability to obtain a Defence Security Clearance Culture We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
