About the Role ... The Training & Development Officer will be responsible for supporting the operational teams to ensure the achievement of high-quality training and development outcomes. This varied role will give you the opportunity to liaise with a range of departments within Darwalla to ensure that our training and development programmes are based on the needs of the organisation and the individual. You will also be responsible for continuously improving our existing induction programmes for new staff, contractors, apprentices, interns and graduate trainees and for monitoring and reviewing the progress of trainees/graduate/interns through feedback and discussions with area managers. You will assist with researching new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and liaise and support external training providers, where appropriate.
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience working in a similar role and have a solid understanding of vocational education requirements and blended learning techniques. You will enjoy making a contribution as part of a small professional team, demonstrate initiative, as well as a high degree of professionalism in your work. You will also have strong attention to detail, well-developed communication skills and an ability to work well with both internal and external stakeholders.
About you ... Demonstrated experience designing and evaluating training solutions and workplace assessment processesDelivering tailored adult training programs with multiple delivery techniques for a diverse organisation with competing strategic objectives.Experience using Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Moodle and video production or similar systemsDemonstrated experience evaluating training and development effectiveness against organisational objectives, adapting delivery to stakeholder responses and to emerging learning technologies and new training methodologies.Developing Training plans, training documentation and monitoring and achieving compliance targetsDemonstrated highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with experience in multi-faceted stakeholder management and leading project teams or resources in a collaborative work culture.Capable of developing digital Learning experiences and resources using Litmos LMS or similar authoring toolStrong computer literacy skills - Microsoft 365 administration highly regardedIt will be advantageous if you have: Previous experience in a registered Training Organisation, including student administration, instructional development and e-learning database development and administrationQualifications in learning and development, education, organisational development, or equivalent demonstrated experience will be advantageousCertificate IV in training and workplace Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent qualification with instructional design experienceA current driver's licence, as travel to our operational sites is a requirement for this role to be successfulYou will be a self-starter that is comfortable multi-tasking and will thrive in a fast-paced, challenging yet exciting environment. The poultry industry has very strict bio-security and animal welfare standards, so all employees are restricted from keeping pet birds, poultry and pigs.
