About RVTS The Remote Vocational Training Scheme (RVTS) offers a vocational training program for medical practitioners in rural, remote, and First Nations communities across Australia. Our program supports doctors in achieving General Practice or Rural Generalist Fellowship.
The Role We are seeking a highly skilled administrator to support General Practitioners (GPs) across Australia as they progress through the RVTS program, ultimately helping rural communities access GP care. This role involves coordinating the training journey of GPs (Registrars) to become vocationally recognized and attain Fellowship with RACGP and/or ACRRM. Responsibilities include onboarding new doctors, providing updated reports, arranging online meetings, and offering phone support.
You will join a team of RTCs, each managing their own cohort of Registrars and administrative portfolio.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for doctors on the RVTS program.Monitor and maintain records of their progression throughout the program.Establish and maintain good working relationships with Medical Educators.Refer issues requiring additional support to the appropriate RVTS Medical Educator.Maintain and update individual registrar records and monitor education activities.Responsible for maintaining the allocated training portfolio.Build relationships with relevant stakeholders.Provide monthly activity reports to the Training Support Manager.Comply with all WHS policies and procedures.Skills and Experience Required: Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, email communication, and data entry.Excellent planning and organizational skills.Willingness to learn and develop new skills and processes.Effective interpersonal skills with experience in building productive working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.High attention to detail.Ability to interact with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.Ability to travel nationally for workshops and other events.Experience in health and/or medical education fields is advantageous.Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online communication software is advantageous.Salary: $70 - $75K plus superannuation, based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Contract: This is a fixed-term 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.
