The Opportunity As our Customer Training Capability expands, we are seeking an experienced Training Capability Manager to lead the Rotary Wing Training Capability Team.
This position calls for a skilled people manager with a demonstrated history of motivating, developing, and mentoring teams, especially in maintenance training services.
This position is a hybrid role, requiring direct involvement with a Rotary Wing program while also managing teams that provide aircraft maintenance and general training services within the Product Support Training and Maintenance (PSTM) Capability across Boeing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and implementing training programs, including planning and risk mitigation activities.
As a hybrid Capability Manager/Training Lead, you will be expected to dedicate 80% of your time directly to a Rotary Wing program.
The position is located in South East Queensland at Oakey, with candidates required to travel to other sites as needed.

Responsibilities: * Leading a diverse instructional team to provide training services that meet Commonwealth needs.
* Collaborating with programs and other Capability Managers to ensure effective resource allocation of qualified personnel.
* Initiating and managing performance and development plans for specialists in Aircraft Maintenance and Training.
* Working with stakeholders to ensure personnel performance meets expectations for optimal product delivery.
* Overseeing personnel safety and team member wellbeing.
* Supporting training program initiatives, including the development and deployment of common processes and tools.
* Actively participating in the PSTM - Training Capability team to achieve strategic and business objectives.
Experience/Qualifications * Knowledge of the DASA Regulatory System and Part 147 and Part 66 requirements.
* Demonstrable experience with exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Proven performance management capabilities and understanding of performance and reward principles.
* Experience leading teams through change and inspiring professional growth.
* Understanding of business finance, project management, and strategic principles.
* Ability to prioritise human resource needs for a large, diverse team to achieve positive outcomes.
* Operational and technical airworthiness experience, with knowledge of ADF requirements.
* A Bachelor's Degree in Management or a related field, or equivalent experience (6+ years in a Defence training environment; 8+ years without a degree).
* Australian Citizenship to meet Defence security requirements.
* Experience in Defence training using the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL).
* Comprehensive knowledge of various training methods (mentoring, coaching, eLearning, etc.).
* Strong skills in training analysis, design, development, evaluation, and documentation.
* Ability to obtain NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
Desirable * TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or equivalent.
