About the role
We are seeking a values-driven Team Leader who will be responsible for the delivery of client-centred training (vocational) and youth programs, within the Tom Quinn Centre; ensuring all regulatory requirements are met, whilst enhancing community participation and pathways for further education and/or employment.
The role is to provide client-focused supervision and support to youth workers and trainers, to ensure high quality service delivery.
The team leader will have proven leadership skills, enabling them to drive the capability of trainers and youth workers, and be accomplished in language, literacy and numeracy education, within an RTO setting.
You Will Successfully
Ensure all components of the youth and training programs are consistent with the Journey to Independence Model and Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) practice framework.
Be responsible for providing daily leadership, management and coordination, of the youth and training programs.
Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships internally and externally, with community partners, government bodies and agency partners.
Develop trainer and youth worker capability, ensuring all RTO requirements are met.
You Will Have
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment desirable
Demonstrated experience in the management and leadership of staff.
Experience and competency in delivering case management practice within a Youth setting, desirable.
Thorough understanding and experience working with young people experiencing multiple and complex worries including but not limited to mental health, AODS, childhood trauma, domestic and family violence, homelessness, family breakdown, poverty, abuse or neglect.
Strong communication and IT skills.
Valid WWCC – Blue Card
Current QLD Driving Licence
This is a permanent, full-time position located in Bundaberg, QLD. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Level 6 Award.
