Training and Development Officer | Hughenden Full-time, Permanent Local Government Role Work from home arrangement negotiable Salary: $92,000 - $103,000 plus super The Client Flinders Shire Council is based in Hughenden.
A charming town situated in North West Queensland, approximately halfway between Townsville and Mount Isa along the Flinders Highway.
Nestled on the banks of the Flinders River, Queensland's longest river, Hughenden is positioned above the Great Artesian Basin, providing a unique blend of natural beauty and historical significance.
The Opportunity This position contributes to the development of a strong learning culture by designing, developing and delivering engaging training programs and people initiatives.
This position collaborates across Council to identify current and required competencies, capabilities and skills and creates targeted learning solutions that support employee growth and the achievement of Council's strategic objectives.
About You Extensive experience in training and development or a similar role Proven expertise in creating, implementing, and delivering training needs analysis, learning and development plans, and face-to-face training sessions Exceptional communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to consult, liaise, influence, and provide advice and education Strong time management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities effectively Excellent oral and written communication skills with a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service Comprehensive knowledge, or the ability to acquire knowledge, of Council processes, policies, and systems Proficient in operating computer systems, including HRIS and the MS Office Suite Ability to work independently with support from management Strong time management skills with adaptability to handle conflicting and changing priorities Current Driver's Licence To Apply Submit your application in Word format by clicking the 'Apply' button below.
