The Training and Development Administration Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of all things training. Our project will enable approximately 1 million electric vehicles to go on the road, every year for the next 50 years.We are proud to foster a culture where people with different skills, experiences and backgrounds are welcomed and set-up for success.The RoleThis role is responsible for providing analysis and insights to the Covalent Lithium refinery leadership team with the key objective of protecting Covalent's commercial position in major construction and operational contracts. This role will also support commercial activities to deliver value-adding outcomes for Covalent.Key Responsibilities• Maintain detailed knowledge of key operational and technical aspects of the project and major commercial contracts to support preparation of high-quality commercial analysis and correspondence with external counterparties.• Evaluate reporting from major contract counterparties to identify and respond to issues and risks highlighted with a view to protecting Covalent's commercial position.• Engage widely within the Refinery team to frame and conduct analysis which will help identify gaps in claims from counterparties and create a strong commercial position for Covalent during negotiations.• Develop and maintain flexible analysis models to support decision evaluation, cash flow forecasting including management of the capital cost trend register.• Help meet all the commercial analysis requirements for the project including updated expenditure forecasts, scenarios and re-baselines (capex, opex, scenario analysis and sensitivities).• Develop business cases, standardise business data and reporting, and market analysis for all research concepts and projects.• Hold accountability for assigned Cost Control responsibilities, support team leads to manage budgets, including trending and reporting processes. Liaise with Project Controls Lead to ensure processes are consistently managed across the project.• Other ad-hoc analysis and presentation materials to meet the needs of the leadership team and the Company shareholders.• Build and maintain effective working relationships with other departments and stakeholders, both internal and external, in service of the objectives of the role.• Interface across all Covalent functions to ensure the project delivers Covalent's and shareholders' requirements.Role Requirements• University degree in Engineering/Finance/Commerce/Economics• CA/CFA or equivalent desired• At least 3 years' experience in corporate finance, business development and/or commercial roles.• Strong financial modelling, analysis and writing skills.• Mining and/or chemicals industry experience is desired.• Operations and project experience is desired.A competitive remuneration package commensurate with the role, candidate experience, skills and qualifications will be offered.Our team members are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
