Nathan River operates an iron ore mine approximately 50km inland from the Gulf of Carpentaria and approximately 760km from Darwin. Transhipment of product occurs at the Bing Bong Loading Facility and port, some 185 kilometres east by private haul road. We own and manage the full supply chain in line with our established fleet of mine and marine assets and key personnel dedicated to our operations. To continue with our vision:
We are seeking the following position: Training & Assessment Supervisor FIFO Roster Ex Darwin is 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off. Main Duties of this position: Deliver skills, knowledge, training and assessment in line with site requirements to achieve a safe and competent workforce including:Operation of Moxy articulated dump trucks, wheeled front-end loaders, dozers, graders and excavators;MC quad set road trains;Assist in the management and upkeep of the Skytrust Safety Management System, including training and assessment materials and records;Assist with the development and implementation of new policies, standard operating procedures, job safety analyses and risk assessments;Support site needs and schedule individual assessments and training plans in line with job specific training requirements;Facilitate training needs analysis (TNA's) across sites;Supporting the implementation of key learning and development projects;Display a high level of operational competency in surface mining equipment operations;Support the safety management department where required to ensure a safe workplace.Desirable for this position: Competent and proficient in the operation of common surface mining equipment and heavy machinery;Capable of working with limited supervision in a mining and marine environment;Have a current Certificate IV – Training and Assessment (TAE);Strong commitment to compliance with health, safety and environment policies and procedures;Displays a strong knowledge of legislative requirements relating to the provision of information, instruction and training in the workplace.How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.
