The Project UGL and CPB Contractors have been awarded the early works contract to support Powerlink's delivery of CopperString 2032.
This $5 billion iconic project will initially be approximately 840 kilometres of new transmission line running from just south of Townsville to Mount Isa that will connect Queensland's North West Minerals Province to the national electricity grid.
Project Scope:500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from just south of Townsville to Hughenden330kV transmission line from Hughenden to Cloncurry220kV transmission line from Cloncurry to Mount IsaUp to six new substation sitesWe are seeking a passionate and experienced Safety Training Advisor to join our team to support the delivery of the Copperstring 2032 project.
In this position, you will support the training function, provide coordination of training practices, systems, and procedures on the project.
What will a day in this role look like:Prepare and maintain reports and documentation concerning the aspects of project training programs.Develop training programs for project employees.Facilitate training programs for project employees.Administer training programs for project employees.Conduct routine reviews and seek feedback of training programs to continually improve the program.Evaluate, investigate, and gather information that will address inadequacies concerning training matters.Investigate training options for JV employees.Support contractors with training requirements on site.Identify additional training programs that will benefit the project.The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role.

What are we looking for you to bring to the team:Certificate IV of Training and Assessment or equivalent.5 years' experience in developing and delivering safety-based training programs.Experience monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on performance and compliance.Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, Access, email.As part of the recruitment process, there are a number of checks which may be conducted to demonstrate an applicant's suitability for a role including police/criminal background checks, medical, drug and alcohol testing, due diligence checks, right to work checks, and/or reference checks.
