This position supports our refinery operations departments.Reporting to the Superintendent Training and Systems, this position will be based in Townsville.The successful person will be self-motivated, have good communication skills and be driven to enhance our workforce capability.
They will have a background in the design and delivery of training and assessment, ideally within the mining/refining industry.Key responsibilities will include:Development of online and face-to-face training and assessment resources.Delivery of theoretical and practical company training material, e.g., Inductions, refining operations, Permit to Work.Continuing to build, promote and encourage a safe workplace.Carrying out verification of competency assessments for plant and machinery operated by Sun Metals Corporation.Use of an online Learning Management System (LMS), for the maintenance of training records and evidence (i.e., High Risk Work Licence).Consultation with all stakeholders to ensure training materials are accurate, reliable and meet the training outcome goals.The successful candidate will have:Current Cert IV in Training & Assessment.Relevant mining/refining industry experience.High level of interpersonal skills and integrity.Ability to build positive working relationships, both internal and external.Strong presentation and facilitation skills.Sound comprehension, verbal and written communication skills.If this sounds like you and you wish to pursue a career in our progressive organisation, we encourage you to apply now.Your application will include the following questions:Are you legally entitled to work in Australia?Please detail your minimum salary expectations (excluding super):As part of our recruitment process, you may be required to attend a pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol testing, and/or complete a medical check-list.
