Your next opportunity We are seeking a Trainer and Assessor for our Asphalt business to develop, deliver and assess competency of asphalt operational employees and embedded contractors to ensure they are well prepared to perform work safely and productively.
This proactive and valued role has responsibility for developing a NSW training plan in consultation with operations to ensure timely delivery of national units of competency, VOCs, inductions and safety training.
Given this role requires travel across NSW and occasionally interstate to our sites, we will provide a fully maintained tool of trade vehicle.
Your day will involve: Ensure all training is conducted in accordance with Boral safety standards and champion safety at all times.
Consult with supervisors and managers to identify, prepare and implement training based on priority needs to ensure skill profiles of crews meets the needs of the business and employees.
Complete classification skill reviews to verify that employees meet the requirements of job models within the relevant work stream.
Work closely with the Boral RTO to ensure training is delivered in accordance with ASQA standards and national units of competency packages.
Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities for training processes and resources and champion implementation.
Using our Learning Management System to manage the administration of training and assessment documentation in collaboration with Boral RTO.
Provide subject matter expertise and support to operational leaders on training systems (MLS) and processes.
Facilitate inductions and other training as required.
What are we looking for?
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or higher) Certificate III in Civil Construction preferred and/or units of competency aligned to asphalt and spray seal skill sets Driver's license (MR or higher preferred) Forklift license (preferred) Experience in the paving/asphalt/bitumen industry Effective use of computer systems Presentation & administration skills Ability to develop training materials, plan and schedule work Safety knowledge, leadership skills and customer service ethic What's on offer?
