Mining - Operations (Mining, Resources & Energy) A Trainer with Cert IV in Training and Assessing is required by Piacentini & Son based from Bunbury with regular travel to our various sites in Western Australia.
Piacentini & Son is a Mining and Earthmoving Contractor specialising in bulk earthworks, rehabilitation services, dry hire equipment, sales, heavy haulage transportation, mining and earthmoving services.
We are seeking a proactive Certificate IV Qualified Trainer Assessor to join our Training and Learning Team. The expectation is for you to manage the programme of training at our Head Office in Picton, near Bunbury, and also across our various sites throughout Western Australia. This is a Monday to Friday roster and will require regular travel through the month.
The ideal applicant will have extensive workshop and maintenance experience in the mining industry and be able to unpack, write, deliver and assess a large range of skills and competencies for our trades people and apprentices. You will have experience on VOC for various tickets such as EWP, CS, LF, CN, DG, WP, RB, RI, CV as well as other tools and machinery. A mechanical trade is preferred.
Proven practical experience as a maintenance trainer is desirable with flexibility to travel.
Examples of the training that you will provide or be capable of learning are: Move and test heavy mining vehicles VoC LF, CN, DG, WP, RB, RI, CV VoC hand held equipment such as grinders, drills and other workshop tools Workshop processes in tooling such as Hose and Coupler Assembly. Writing SWI procedures, learning tasks and assessment pieces Key Responsibilities: Ensure employees are trained, assessed and compliant in accordance with site Training Needs Analysis and Training Management Plan. Ensuring all personnel have access to training and inductions when required to meet legal and site competency requirements. Ensure all training documentation is accurately completed and entered. Manage assessment, reassessment and refresher training across site. Requirements: 2+ years' experience as a Trainer Assessor in a similar role or substantial Trades experience within the mining and earth moving industry. Certificate IV in Training & Assessment is desirable. Proven experience within a HV workshop maintaining mobile earthmoving and mining equipment. The ability to mentor and train others with respect. Display a clear commitment and focus on the health, safety and well-being of employees. You must have working rights in Australia.
