Your efforts in both educating employees and supporting the Rail Safety team are important for achieving our objectives.Responsibilities:Training:Support the planning, organisation, and implementation of a range of training activities.Support the development of training manuals, multimedia or other visual aids, and other educational materials including assessments as required.Work closely with various subject matter experts to customise training programs according to specific requirements or other project needs.Deliver group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, safety, operational, or other training needs.Assess participant performance and understanding through appropriate evaluation methods with the responsibility of signing off on assessments to confirm competency and completion of training.Keep records of training activities and employee participation.Safety Administration:Support safety activities by assisting in the development, review and maintenance of safety documentation, monitoring compliance, and promoting a safety-focused culture. Assist in investigating incidents or near-misses, identifying root causes, and supporting preventive strategies.Support the drafting, reviewing, and updating of safety and other procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.Support the maintenance and update of emergency response plans and participate in drills and training sessions as required.Aid in conducting safety audits and inspections, help prepare reports, and suggest improvements.Assist with maintaining records of safety-related incidents and preparing safety reports for management.Other:Abide by applicable workplace health and safety policies and proceduresAny other duty assigned to you having regard to your skills, training and experience.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Health Science (Health, Safety and Environment), Occupational health and safety, or a related field.Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or similar, preferred not essential.3 + years proven experience as a Trainer and Safety Administrator, or similar role.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and training software.Strong writing and record keeping ability.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to support a team and work collaboratively.Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.GOALSTo be developed in conjunction with the Rail Safety Manager.#J-18808-Ljbffr
