About the Role This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real experience and apply your knowledge as a Trainee Town Planner.
In this role you will interact with both internal and external stakeholders in the review and assessment of development proposals and to provide advice on various development enquiries, proposals, lodgement of development applications, modifications, 8.3 Reviews, subdivision certificates, CDCs and post consent certificates.
You will also perform a variety of administrative functions including using the NSW Planning Portal for review of applications and DA lodgement on a daily basis, maintaining Council's systems and databases, filing documentation, organising meetings, answering and responding to phone calls, emails, and letter enquiries, and performing other tasks and projects as required.
This is a temporary 2-year position offered whilst you are undertaking your tertiary studies.
This role will suit someone currently studying a Town Planning degree or similar as Council offers various flexible working arrangements to ensure this opportunity can fit in with your studies.
This position is to commence in January 2025.
The salary for this position working a 35-hour week is $920.10 per week + Superannuation About You We are looking for a passionate undergraduate or postgraduate student studying a Town Planning degree or similar, with a commitment to serving the community.
