Job Description

Your New Role

An average week for a Trainee Systems Administrator includes providing Application and Infrastructure Support for a number of systems across different environments and includes a wide range of activities:

Supporting, maintaining and improving an extensive server platform and related applications, across multiple domains and national locations;
Key team member supporting both the Business and ICT users of the supporting infrastructure;
Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes;
Troubleshooting any reported issues;
Utilising enterprise-wide monitoring platforms;
Updating and creating system documentation;
Deploying system wide software;
Adhering to documented policies and procedures;
Undertaking minimal development activities that directly support the applications served from the supporting infrastructure;
Working as a team to solve complex ICT problems;
Directly supporting customer missions through business ICT support
Applying DevOps and automation principles to increase consistency and efficiency

Qualifications

About You and What You'll Bring

This role is ideal for someone who is completing or has recently completed a Bachelor's Degree, Diploma or Certificate from an accredited institution in a related discipline:

Information Technology
Computer Science
Information Systems

Successful candidates must be Australian Citizens at the time of application to be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
