We are seeking an experienced and highly organised individual to provide professional corporate support as a Trainee Executive Assistant to the General Manager's Office.
Two (2) year traineeship working within the Chief Operating Office Obtain a nationally accredited Certificate IV in Local Government (Corporate Services) Above award rates!
Commencing salary of $1,717.68 gross per fortnight plus superannuation (at 18 years of age or older, varying rates subject to age and experience as per award provisions) Access to Council's Flexible Working Arrangements Further opportunities for professional development through additional courses, training and support Your new role : As the Trainee Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for the delivery of high-level, executive support, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.
Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to : Providing executive support to the General Manager's Office including diary and workflow management, public relations and media requests Coordinating Committee and Council Business Papers for the Directorate Preparing and managing meetings Organising and managing arrangements for planned and resourced events and workshops Drafting and preparing correspondence, reports, speeches and presentations What you will need to succeed : Previous completion of a Certificate III or IV in Business or considerable administration experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to uphold confidentiality, privacy and discretion Willingness to contribute to service improvements and adapt to change Traineeship information This traineeship will provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in both local government and executive administration whilst being supported to learn and grow in a professional and enjoyable working environment.
Across 24 months you will work fulltime (35-hour week) alongside experienced mentors, gaining hands-on industry experience and receiving 3 hours paid study time per week towards achieving a nationally recognised qualification.
