Trainee Aged Care Community Worker - Port Pirie

Are you seeking a permanent role in Community Services - this is the role for you!No experience or qualification is required!We will train you via on-the-job and complete Certificate III in Individual Support during paid work time - a traineeship.Fantastic working conditions and entitlementsThe part-time hourly rate from $24.83Salary packaging availableWork with a fantastic team across the greater Port Pirie area.Flexible work arrangements available with family-friendly hours.We are expanding this team to deal with the increase in new clients and the growth of the industry. We would like to employ our next generation of Home Care Workers, where we will pay you to attend work and be trained by our experienced and qualified team members. We will also pay you to attend scheduled class and study days to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care).
We are recruiting part-time Home Care Workers, offering a minimum of 15 hours (guaranteed) and the opportunity to work up to 30 hours a week. We will work with you on your availability, and the days and hours of shifts, offering consistency where possible.
What we are seeking: Have a great attitudeBe reliable and have clear communication skills.Want to work with the elderly in their home.Have a willingness to learn and workAbility to pass a National Police Check (be willing to obtain it if you don't have this)NDIS Workers Check (be willing to obtain if you don't have this)Hold a current SA Driver's licence, have a reliable vehicle, and insuranceHave full Australian Working Rights and be an AU/NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident to access funding to complete the accredited training course and traineeship.Have regular availabilityBe fit and healthy, able to complete a variety of tasks and pass a fitness/health assessmentDesire to care for and help the elderlyShifts: Shifts are available Monday to Friday, between 9:00am to 5:00pm. Shift durations vary, from 1 hour to 3 hours, and we work with you to build full days of work, seeing clients back-to-back. You are paid for your travel time and KM's between clients.
Services/Tasks: Throughout your Traineeship, you will be trained on the following services:
Domestic Assistance (vacuuming, mopping, changing sheets, surface clean of living areas)Bed making, room tidying upShopping, completing weekly/fortnightly shopping for the clientTransportation, taking clients to and from appointments in the communityPersonal Care (showering, dressing, grooming)Respite and Social SupportAbility to listen, build a rapport, and work with a range of clients and other staffNext Steps: If this sounds like an opportunity for you, please apply today!
