What are we looking for? We are seeking a highly motivated Trainee Accountant to join our high performing Commercial team.
This position is permanent, full time, working a Monday to Friday roster.
Reporting to the Mine Accountant, the primary purpose of this role is to provide accounting and commercial transactional support to the Commercial team and deliver accurate cost information in a timely manner.
In this role you will be responsible for: General ledger account reconciliations and maintenanceAssisting with end of month processes (journals, accrual, data integrity) and audit requestsDaily bank account reconciliations including coordination of required outgoing paymentsPreparation of inputs for taxation reports and returns (FBT, GST, income tax etc) in compliance with legal requirementsValidation of weekly accounts payable and fortnightly payroll paymentsVendor onboarding and maintenance in accordance with the Commercial FrameworkEffective application of the Commercial Framework and relevant Accounting StandardsAssisting the Commercial team with other tasks that support teamwork and aid your own growthAbout you: You have, at minimum, commenced a Commerce degree or equivalent (practical experience will be highly regarded)You possess superior written and verbal communication skillsYou have a high regard for your personal safety and that of your teammatesYou have the ability to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a constantly changing environmentYou demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactivelyYou are a team player with an attitude for outstanding performance and a willingness to contribute to a winning teamWhat we offer: The guarantee of a rewarding and challenging careerAn attractive remuneration package including short-term performance-based bonuses.Health benefits including on-site Physiotherapy and subsidised gym memberships5 Weeks annual leave per year$6000 plus Super combined commute and location allowance for all eligible Mangoola Employees.A focus on your career progression including formal training driven from Personal Development Plans.Provision for Education Assistance if you are wanting to further your studies.For further information please contact: Mark McTaggart - Commercial Manager - 0423 725 ***
