Your new role
The company are seeking a AO4 level traffic Management Designer to join the team.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain temporary traffic management (TTM) plans and guidance schemes for civil works projects across a diverse range of traffic environments
Have in-depth technical knowledge of currentand Australian standards and practices (AS1742, Austroads guide to Temporary Traffic Management, Queensland Manual for uniform Traffic Control Devices, Guideline - Traffic Management at Works on Roads)
Converse with project managers, supervisors, contractors across all disciplines to create traffic solutions that enable works in complex situations to create safe environments for workers, stakeholders and members of public.
Mentor project managers, supervisors and contractors in current TTM practices to ensure understanding of regulations
Identify and undertake risk assessments per project on an ongoing basis to ensure that controls are effective
Conduct audits, travel time surveys and site inspections to ensure compliance across worksites and communicate with project managers, engineers and supervisors to improve worksite safety and member of public compliance.
Review and innovate upon current organisational TTM practices with a focus on demonstrative safety outcomes.
Provide training and assistance to other employees with TTM responsibilities
Perform the role of a nominated traffic officer under (state the legislation)
The ability to work within a team to design/engineer complex TGS arrangements that may not fall under any relevant Clauses within the QGTTM, AGTTM, MUTCD
What you'll need to succeed
Current TMD Qualification with 3+ years' experience in traffic management design and project management or support
Expertise in current TTM regulations and legislation
Experience with Invarion Rapid plan, CAD, or other traffic management design software
Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability
RPEQ in Traffic, Civildesirable
