Our Traffic Engineer plays a significant role in ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of road users within our community.
In this position you will dive into investigations, responding to community requests with precision and care. You will analyse and evaluate traffic proposals, using the latest techniques and technology to ensure our solutions are both effective and innovative.
Day to day duties include but not limited to: Utilising a variety of traffic engineering techniques, including computer-based methods, to analyse and evaluate proposals effectively. Maintaining up-to-date traffic data to inform decision-making and improve traffic management strategies. Assisting in the development of conceptual designs for traffic engineering projects under supervision. Assisting with the preparation of comprehensive funding applications and documentation for State and Federal Grants related to traffic and road management initiatives. What you will bring
We're looking for someone with a degree in Traffic Engineering and several years of hands-on experience. If you have a deep understanding of traffic regulations, strong computer skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service, we want to hear from you!
The following is also required:
Detailed knowledge of the provisions of the Acts, Regulations and Australian Standards relevant to traffic engineering. Knowledge of relevant VicRoads standards and Australian traffic engineering guidelines. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service. Australian Drivers Licence. Interview information
