You will be responsible for the day to day compiling of commercial and program data in on-air schedules for the Southern Cross Austereo television markets and for maximising client results by ensuring all client commercials and station activity is aired correctly.
This entry level position has been the starting point for many of our most highly successful team members and can provide you with the opportunity to build a career in media. We will train you to be part of a large team of commercial airtime professionals who work at the TV centre Monday to Friday.
What you'll be doing: Preparation of daily channel transmission logs to final download for Playout Presentation Duties may include but are not limited to placement of commercials, promotional spots, billboards, community service announcements, news updates, program fillers, consumer advice disclaimers, on-air supers, watermarks, station identifications. Ensuring correct program feeds are allocated from the Network(s) or that material that is placed into the schedule and played off SCA content playout servers is scheduled correctly. Correct timing out of the 24-hour schedule of each channel log. Forward preparation of logs as required. Ensuring SCA adheres to the Commercial Television Industry Annotated Code of Practice. Filling and conflicting commercials daily as required. Responding to schedule irregularities provided by Playout Presentation. Archiving of schedules. Experience we're looking for: Excellent communication skills. High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise tasks based on importance. Basic computer proficiency, ideally having used Microsoft Windows & Outlook. The ability to show us you can be a pro-active and productive member of our team.
