Operations centralised around Central Coast and Newcastle About the role As a Traffic Controller for SPA, you will be responsible for directing the flow and speed of vehicles and ensuring the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and workers.
We are looking for someone who is physically fit, punctual, flexible, and has a positive attitude.
You will be a reliable team player, who is happy to travel and work nights/weekends.Duties:Coordinate, set up, manage, and remove traffic controlDirect traffic around worksDirect pedestrians to maintain safety around changed road conditionsOperate signs, such as stop-slow bat, using hand signals to direct traffic and pedestriansSet up and take down temporary road signsCommunicate clearly with team members and the public to maintain safetyUse portable traffic control devices and/or stop/slow batonAssist in ensuring compliance with all WH&S and environmental requirements at the worksiteSkills & Experience:Current and valid Driver's Licence and own transportConstruction Industry Safety Induction Licence (White Card)Both TCR & IMP tickets, PWZ ticket to act as a team leader when requiredTraffic Control Experience would be great but not essential!Workers on Foot Ticket desirableCivil Road Construction experience (desirable but not essential)Commitment to safety protocols and attention to detailWell-presented, reliable, punctualAppropriate PPE and two-way radioWillingness to learn and ability to follow instructionsBenefits:Flexible and diverse working environmentContribute to a legacy of achievement, and a company that values collaboration and personal development.Challenging and rewarding with opportunities for career progression, learning, and development.
