About the role
As a Traffic Controller for SPA, you will be responsible for directing the flow and speed of vehicles and ensuring the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and workers. We are looking for someone who is physically fit, punctual, flexible, and has a positive attitude. You will be a reliable team player, who is happy to travel and work nights/weekends.
Duties: Coordinate, set up, manage, and remove traffic control Direct traffic around works Direct pedestrians to maintain safety around changed road conditions Operate signs, such as stop-slow bat, using hand signals to direct traffic and pedestrians Set up and take down temporary road signs Communicate clearly with team members and the public to maintain safety Use portable traffic control devices and/or stop/slow baton Assist in ensuring compliance with all WH&S and environmental requirements at the worksite Skills & Experience: Current and valid Driver's Licence and own transport Construction Industry Safety Induction Licence (White Card) Both TCR & IMP tickets, PWZ ticket to act as a team leader when required Traffic Control Experience would be great but not essential! Workers on Foot Ticket desirable Civil Road Construction experience (desirable but not essential) Commitment to safety protocols and attention to detail Well-presented, reliable, punctual Appropriate PPE and two-way radio Willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions Benefits: Flexible and diverse working environment Contribute to a legacy of achievement, and a company that values collaboration and personal development.
