Department of HealthInfrastructureInfra - Asset Management ServicesApplications must be submitted by Sunday 22 September, 2024 11:55 PM AEST.Award/Classification:Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award, General Stream, Band 3Salary: $71,661 to $77,455 per annumEmployment type:Full TimeRegion:NorthLocation:LGH Charles Street, LauncestonThe role:As directed by the Senior Tradesperson - Electrical, maintain, install, commission, test and ensure statutory compliance of health facility electrical equipment, including:L.V supply systemsControl and other specialised systemsEmergency power and lighting systemsFire Alarm Systems (including isolation of fire alarm systems)Other health facility general building servicesAll power reticulation equipment and plant together with associated control and switch gear.Supervise and be responsible for high voltage switching and isolating operation and appropriate safety procedures as required.Action Pulse requests as directed, including the electronic lodgement of requests as required.In consultation with supervisory staff, design, implement and review programmed maintenance schedules.Assist other staff in day-to-day operations of the Facilities Management and Engineering Services department whilst working within the boundaries of trade qualification, knowledge and experience.Liaise with other Agency employees, government agencies and other organisations to ensure work is undertaken with minimal disruption to clients and other staff.Details of Appointment:Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Current Driver's Licence (desirable)Please Note: On call is a requirement of this position.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
