Trades Assistant - Reactive Maintenance

About The Role Ventia have been engaged by the DJCS (Department of Justice and Community Safety) to provide integrated Facility Management services incorporating planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance services, ad hoc services, and soft services including cleaning, ground, pest, and waste streams.
The Trades Assistant will play a key role in the team and operate across the Little River (Cherry Creek) facility for planned, reactive, remedial and ad-hoc maintenance activities across the sites.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Participate in a multiskilled team for delivery of high quality facility management and maintenance servicesComplete planned maintenance activities across multiple assets associated with large facilitiesComplete reactive maintenance activities across the sites in line with completion timeframesAssist Electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters, Painters or other Trade qualified employees with completing time critical maintenance, repairs, or minor projectsWork order management for all works completed within required timeframesHigh standards across compliance and driving safety, health, environment, and quality in your work.About You: You will have experience as a Trades Assistant within large facilities ideally working in a time critical environment with a focus on planned and reactive maintenance.
You will also possess:
Demonstrated experience in time critical rectification and reportingCapability in maintaining scheduled work plansCompetence in a team environmentDesire to learn and complete minor training packages as neededBe able to complete and pass a National Police Check and MedicalBe able to evidence full covid vaccinationsDiversity
