Trades Assistant

Clark Equipment Sales Pty Ltd is a leading distributor of Capital Equipment and distributes recognised brands to Construction, Material Handling and Agricultural markets.The opportunity:A position exists for a motivated Trades Assistant to join the Service department, based in our workshop at Cairns. This is a great opportunity with a large, stable and reputable organisation.Job details:This role will be responsible for a range of tasks from accessory fitting to condition reports, with attention to detail to meet customers' desires and expectations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience or exposure to mechanical and basic auto electrical work as well as basic fabrication.Other duties include but are not limited to:Record keeping and job accountabilityTouch up paint work on fittings and accessoriesChecking all service points, lubrication levels, operation controlsWashing and cleaning machinesWorking to deadlinesWhat we are looking for:The presentation of our equipment is a high priority and so we look for candidates who have a desire to do their best, have an eye for detail and possess some mechanical aptitude.The following would be advantageous:Be able to learn the trade quicklyPrevious experience with construction machineryBasic computer skillsIf you believe you have the right characteristics and experience to be a valuable member of our service team, we would like to hear from you.To apply:Please click 'apply for this job' via Seek with your attached resume and cover letter.
