This role is designed for an individual with a suitable Trades background to work on a range of Fire Protection Equipment.

The Role We are seeking an experienced Trades Assistant/Fire Extinguisher Service Technician to join our mining team on a FIFO or a DIDO/residential basis, working on a '9 On, 5 Off' roster.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, ensuring the safety and compliance of critical fire protection equipment.
Key Responsibilities Installation, testing, maintenance and repair of fire protection equipment including, but not limited to, portable fire extinguishers, fire blankets, hose reels, hydrants and fire suppression systems.
Maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) responsibilities, ensuring full compliance with company/site policies and procedures.
Ensure that all work aligns with contractual requirements and industry standards and is serviced to the highest standards.
Complete service activities to guarantee timely and efficient completion of tasks.
Maintain effective communication with client representatives and stakeholders to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Proactively identify and resolve site issues, implementing solutions and improvements to enhance overall operations.
What We're Looking For Experience in fire protection or a related Trades background.
Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing or willingness to undertake this training.
Proven capability to complete tasks while managing competing priorities.
Ability to work autonomously.
Strong understanding and commitment of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) responsibilities and compliance.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address and resolve issues effectively.
Current C Class Driver's Licence – Manual Vehicle.
