About the role
This role is perfect for someone eager to kickstart a career in electronics and communications. We offer full support in completing a Certificate III in Electronics and Communications, providing hands-on experience on a variety of exciting projects. You will work both in our workshop and on-site, assisting technicians with installations, maintenance, and repairs. Key responsibilities include:
Assist in project tasks and installations in collaboration with technicians
Use and handle electric tools safely and effectively
Develop new skills in radio communications, Internet Protocol networks, and computer systems
Support in conducting equipment testing and troubleshooting
Maintain workshop and equipment to high safety standards
Assist with the reading of wiring plans and technical documents
Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this position, we are seeking candidates who can bring the following skills and experience to the role:
Interest in electronics and technology
Good hand skills and tool-handling ability
Basic understanding of mathematics (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and physics)
Strong willingness to learn new skills in radio communications and networking
Sound interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
Recent national police history check
Willingness to travel as required.
