This position supports the cotton trading team and the facilitation of pricing and execution of commodities. This is a fixed term role for 23 months. ResponsibilitiesCollect and analyse data and information to deliver market pricing and positioning points to the tradersCoordinate with various departments including contract control, finance and logistics to consolidate information for analysisSupport the trader in daily bid-offer updates and communication to other team members Support the trader in daily activity reporting and inventory of warehouse stocksUpdate sales files by coordinating in international officesAssisting in special projects such as capex planning, bulk shipments, logistical solutions etc.Assisting in research tasks including daily and weekly updates on the market and market changes, market analysis and trading strategy.Attributes and Skills:Strong logical reasoning skills to analyze data and make recommendationsAbility to problem solve and methodically review dataAbility to collaborate with othersGood numerical skills and intermediate Excel skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills High level of organisation skillsAdaptive to change, and ability to work under pressureStrong decision-making ability and attention to detailDesired but not essential skillsExposure to trade commodities industryBenefits of working at LDC:Work for a global, leading commodities companyDiscounted health insurance options availableAccess to salary sacrifice options with novated car leasing after probation periodAccess to Employee Assistance ProgramsLDC is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.
