About the role: Knauf Gypsum is looking for an experienced Trade Store Truck Driver/Warehouse Operator , to be a part of our Trade Store in Fyshwick, ACT.
Reporting to the Trade Store Manager, this role is responsible to providing exceptional customer service through the daily operations of site deliveries and warehouse operations, in accordance with the Company's strategic plans, operating budgets, procedures and policies Applicants must be reliable, adaptable, and physically fit.
You will have demonstrated experience working effectively in a team and independently and be committed to safety at all times.
Some of the role responsibilities: Ability to handle, deliver and hand unload plasterboard and associated products off truck while maintaining good manual handling techniques, and strict adherence to safety guidelines General warehouse duties including manual handling of plasterboard and other products involved in the makeup of customer orders, and other duties e.g general housekeeping.
Receive and forward customer complaints to the Trade Sales Manager regarding product and / or service via Knauf's complaint and customer procedures Assist in inventory management activities as well as checking and dispatching of goods Provide customers with exceptional Customer Service via prompt delivery of goods to customer locations and servicing of customers onsite Assist in management of transport resources to effectively maintain efficient service to customers Assist in administrative duties where required by Management Any other reasonable task as requested by management Candidate requirements: MR license (mandatory), Heavy Rigid truck license (beneficial) Forklift license (beneficial) Competent in load restraint Builds and sustains positive relationship with team members and customers Has good verbal and written communication skills Shows commitment to get the job done, safely, accurately and timely Previous experience as a delivery truck operator in a busy environment and knowledge of Chain Of Responsibility requirements Physically capable to fulfil the demands of lifting plasterboard product and associated accessories On Offer: Market competitive Hourly Rate + OT Exposure to the business Yearly pay review 14-week Parental Leave (Primary Carer) High organic internal growth promoted within Great work life balance Please note, applicants must have entitlements to work in Australia, as part of the recruitment process, police and medical checks for security clearance pertaining to specific job requirements will be conducted for successful applicants
