Trade Overseer – Textiles 5D – Corrective Services Industries – Goulburn Correctional Centre Location – Goulburn Correctional Centre

Employment type – Ongoing, Full Time

Salary - $ 88,173 pa + Incidental Allowance + Leave Loading + Superannuation
Your role Corrective Services Industries is currently seeking a trade qualified candidate for the Textiles role at Goulburn Correctional Centre. As the ideal candidate for this role, you must have experience in Textiles or Garment Manufacturing.
What you'll do As the Overseer, you will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethics and integrity in line with CSI core values to train and supervise inmates as well as Quality control / inspection responsibilities to ensure compliance. You are also required to have sound computer knowledge, show strong resilience and have robust time management skills.
What we're looking for As a standout candidate you will have:
Proven trade experience Experience with clothing production or other relevant experience is highly desired Demonstrated staff management skills Willingness to work across varying trades and ability to multitask to achieve operational goals The successful candidate will be paid to undertake Primary Training for Certificate III in Correctional Practice Must be willing to undertake relevant training as required (paid by CSI) Essential Requirements Minimum current Certificate III or greater in textiles and Garment Manufacturing (Industry experience will considered on a case by case basis). Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframes Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as required General understanding of capabilities around the use of computers and electronic platforms to access relevant departmental programmes and applications Download the role description.
