Do you have demonstrated experience in trade facilitation and development within the UK and Europe? About the Role Classification: Locally Engaged Staff (LES) Salary Range: up to £63,000 Work Location: Victorian Government Trade & Investment (VGTI) office, London Employment Type: Fixed term – 2 years A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional with a background in all aspects of trade development, together with a detailed understanding of the global business environment, particularly it relates to the UK and Victoria, Australia, to join the Victorian Government Trade & Investment (VGTI) network.
Reporting to the Agent General to the UK, Commissioner to Europe and Israel, this position will be responsible for designing and managing Victorian trade activities and projects across the UK and Europe and will work across industries, stakeholders, and businesses to research and identify trade opportunities, deliver initiatives, and achieve positive trade outcomes for Victoria.
Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will possess:
Experience supporting trade initiatives across a range of sectors, particularly technology, professional services, retail, life sciences and food and beverage. Knowledge of the international business environment as relates to the UK, Europe, and Victoria, including policy, trade, and regulatory trends. Significant experience developing and managing relationships with complex client organisations, and the ability to conduct high level commercial negotiations. An excellent understanding of event management, particularly the planning and development of detailed travel programs for high level delegations. The successful candidate for this locally engaged position will be responsible for all arrangements in relation to relocation expenses (if applicable), their accommodation and day-to-day living expenses.
