About the Role
Classification: Locally Engaged Staff (LES)
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
Work Location: Victorian Government Trade & Investment (VGTI) office, Santiago, Chile
Employment Type: Two-year fixed term (incorporating 2 x 1-year fixed term contracts)
A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional with a successful track record of business development, together with a detailed understanding of the global business environment, in particular as it relates to Chile and Victoria, Australia, to join the Victorian Government Trade & Investment (VGTI) network.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Trade & Investment, Latin America, this position will require a bilingual (English and Spanish) professional with excellent communication skills, an ability to work to tight timeframes and to deliver on key projects.
They will work to identify new growth opportunities, manage business programs and trade missions, and provide tailored services to Victorian and Latin American businesses.
Successful Candidate
Proven experience in developing and executing business development strategies and creating successful business outcomes between Australia and other countries.
Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities for international companies across Latin America and strong understanding of the regulatory and business environment facing Victorian businesses entering the market.
Experience organising and executing trade and export development strategies and programs, including trade missions and networking events.
The successful candidate for this locally engaged position will be responsible for all arrangements and costs in relation to relocation and visas (if applicable), their accommodation and day-to-day living expenses.
