An integral part of the position is to ensure adequate fabrication resources are provided to the project teams in support of submarine maintenance activities.This role represents a rare opportunity to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for Australia.This is a full-time opportunity based at our Osborne site in SA.ResponsibilitiesEnsure the required quality, technical and safety standards associated with the production trade value stream are achieved and maintained.Manage the fabrication department performance, professional and trade development, succession planning and performance appraisals.Ensure adequate fabrication resources are provided to the project teams in support of submarine maintenance activities.Refine the facility, equipment and tooling requirements for all aspects of the production trade effort.Deliver continuous improvement strategies across all areas of influence and responsibility.About youEducational qualifications in Engineering, Management or equivalent experience.Experience in managing/supervising a large workforce in a shipbuilding, submarine or heavy engineering environment.Ability to execute scheduled work.Demonstrate an understanding of Submarine Fabrication techniques.Ability to work across multi-functional teams/departments in a complex and fast-paced environment.EligibilityThis role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
