We are seeking a mature, flexible, and motivated individual for a Trade Assistant role based across Susan River & Childers solar farm sites, in the Hervey Bay region.
Trade Assistant (m/f/n) Full timeMain Responsibilities Working with Solar Asset Managers, Site Managers and Site Technicians - Attending to assigned work orders relating to mechanical and grounds work, including but not limited toVisual inspections of equipment on siteGeneral PV maintenance and housekeepingSupporting of onsite technicians with work orders & project works, including but not limited to: String cable looming, cleaning inverters, assisting site technicians (electricians) to install cabling.Operating plant and equipment Adhere to onsite WHS site documents and requirements in close collaboration with site technicians, site manager and WHS representativesReacting to new and developing events onsiteAdditional Responsibilities (when required) Solar PV Plant vegetation maintenance to reduce impact of plant species and shade and ensure the ongoing performance of the entire solar photovoltaic system, including but not limited toMowing the hard-to-reach areas of the solar PV plant in-line with PV Plant mowing methodsAbout you Good communication skills and proficient in both verbal and written EnglishWilling to undertake HV training to assist with supervised on-site switchingDemonstrate care with all works and tasksBe reliable, organised and team focused with a can-do approachWilling to travel to other projects, if requiredExperience/Qualifications A valid driver's licence is requiredConstruction induction card (white card) is requiredAQF3 (Pesticide applicator) chemical accreditation is desirable but not essentialExperience with use and maintenance of mechanical equipment (including forklift, tractor, zero-turn mowers) is preferred but not essentialWhat we offer: Flexible working hours and modern equipmentTraining for professional development providedRoster options of 8/6 DIDO or 5/2 are available to the right candidate#J-18808-Ljbffr
