Trade Assistant

RPR Trades are looking for a Trades Assistant for a temp on-going position assisting in the assembling of Truck Trailers for a company in Melbourne's northern suburbs.


About the Role: You will be working for one of Australia's oldest family owned manufactures and suppliers of road transport equipment. Manufacturing and specialising in Freezer, Double Stacker, Super Chiller, Chiller, Meat Hangers, Dry Freight trailers and Rigid Bodies for the general and temperature controlled freight and bulk transport market sectors. All trailers are built from the ground up in the factory in Reservoir.

Excellent conditions Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:00am -3:30pm, Friday 7:00am - 1:00pm Casual rate of $35 an hour full-time hours.  Qualifications and Experience  Previous experience in welding (fabrication) would be desirable Hand and Power tool usage experience Previous experience in assembling would be desirable Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively  Full job training will be provided onsite if required  experience working in the automotive industry an advantage  Previous trailer fabrication/metal fabrication or fiberglass experience will be looked upon favorably All successful applicants will be required to provide two recent working references & proof of Australian Work Rights.
