The ClientJK is partnering with a large local vehicle supplier in the Ballarat region. We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Trades Assistant with strong, demonstrated mechanical aptitude and proven experience working with heavy vehicles.
The RoleYou will be working onsite in our client's new Engineering shed, responsible for a variety of tasks around servicing, build and repair of engines, and other heavy vehicle components. Having strong mechanical skills, confidence with a range of hand and power tools coupled with flexibility to turn your hand to a range of tasks across the site will see you succeed in this role.
The ideal candidate for this role will have: Strong mechanical knowledge and confident experience with hand and power toolsPrevious industry experience is highly desirableAbility to read and interpret plans and designsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamA proactive approach to work and strong sense of initiativePlease Note:All applicants will be required to complete and pass a drug and alcohol test to be successful.
