Trade Assistant - Afternoon Shift

The Opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Trades Assistant to join our team based in Forrestdale. Working an afternoon shift, you will play a crucial role assisting Fitters in the remanufacturing of key components across the Hitachi product range. This role will give you access to OEM training, benefits, and an opportunity to build on existing skills.
Main responsibilities include:
Pressure wash machine componentsOverhead Crane operationForklift operationAssist Tradesmen to disassemble components in line with procedures when requiredMaintain a high level of accuracy when carrying out final QA inspections and pack units when ready for dispatchAssist in store control including receiving and dispatch of Reman itemsSoda Blast a range of machine componentsMaintain a clean and tidy working environmentAs a Trades Assistant, you will have a strong safety focus and abide by site safety processes at all times.
To be successful in this role you will need to:
Be mechanically minded with a willingness to learnHave the ability to recognise basic product quality deviations/faultsGood communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a teamAbility to work flexible hours/shifts and overtime when requiredForklift License, dogging ticket and blasting experience will be advantageousBenefits What's in it for you?
