Job DescriptionRacing Victoria (RV) is one of Australia's leading sporting organisations and the independent governing body of thoroughbred racing in Victoria. We develop, promote, and manage the conduct of thoroughbred horse racing in Victoria, safeguarding its integrity and sustainability.
RV is seeking a Track Work Rider Development Coordinator to join the team. In this role, the coordinator will contribute to the attraction, development, and retention of Track Work Riders in Victoria.
About the role: As the Track Work Rider Development Coordinator you will contribute to the attraction, development, and retention of Track Work Riders in Victoria by coaching and mentoring riders in the Track Work Rider Programs and Rider Development Squad. In this role, you will serve as a key internal liaison for Track Work Riders and the industry, providing technical guidance and contributing to the personal development of Track Work Riders through coaching, instruction, and assessment.
Key Responsibility Areas: Trainer and Assessor of the Track Work Rider components of the Certificates III in Racing (Track Rider).Support the development of track work riders in the field by attending workplaces, track work, and jump outs, providing performance feedback.Conduct regular workplace/stable visits to assess rider development and inform employers of progress and goal setting.Assist RV Licensing with track work rider licensing applications and competency assessments.Coordinate the Rider Development Squad and Track Work Rider Certificate III Racing.Deliver content in the Certificate programs, including Stable Start and other RV programs.Meet and assess prospective candidates for the Rider Development Program.Liaise with Trainers and Track Work Rider Coaches contracted by the RTO.About You: It is essential that the incumbent of this role has:
