About the role The Track Inspector is integral to the success of V/Line's Network Development, Assets & Maintenance Group.
Reporting to the Night shift Ganger, the Track Inspector is responsible for the safety, maintenance, and inspection of the allocated section of track between Werribee and Warrnambool.
Key Accountabilities include: Inspect and monitor rail wear, rail creep, flooding, joint condition, and buckles as well as repair minor issues during inspections if required.Submit detailed reports on renewal or rail infrastructure maintenance items.Supervise and participate in the replacement or renewal of track work materials as well as repairs and maintenance of V/Lines and other Infrastructure assets.Monitor third-party activities on leased property and ensure their works do not affect the safety of the rail infrastructure.Ensure that all work is performed following the appropriate Occupational Health and Safety Standards and Regulations.About you We are looking for a suitably qualified track Inspector who is safety-focused, has good communication skills, and a thorough knowledge of track components.
