Our client, a gold producer experiencing unparalleled growth and offering exceptional opportunities for their employees, is currently seeking a Senior Underground Planning Engineer to join their new startup project.Requirements:Tertiary qualification in mining engineering;Excellent leadership and communication skills;Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations;Skilled in mine planning and scheduling software (Deswik preferred);First Class Mine Managers Certificate, or experience to qualify.Position Duties:Develop and implement optimum underground development, stope designs and mining methods.Optimise equipment requirements and minimise mining costs.Deliver short, medium and long term mine plans, ensuring consistency to maintain continuity of the mine planning process.Prepare underground mine development and production schedules.Plan and oversee the dewatering system in the mine.Oversee the preparation and optimisation of drill and blast plans.Monitor day to day mining operations to ensure compliance with agreed plans and quality control standards.Undertake ongoing update of underground Life of Mine plan.Examine mining methods and equipment to improve performance.Supervise mining engineers and other technical staff in their day-to-day activities.Provide mine designs and schedules for underground capital and operating cost budgets and forecasts.Review underground mine planning cost reports and address any variances.Experience:8+ years experience in underground mining operations, with 2+ years in a senior level role.Current Status:OPENDuration:PermanentDuty Roster:FIFO Perth 8:6
